“I used vibrant, ethnic colors in this work as a way to attract viewers for an agricultural purpose:
to promote Zimbabwean farming.”

Location: Chitungwiza
Artwork statement: “All around the farm there are wind turbines, which are used to pump water to the vegetables, and solar panels, which harness energy to be used as backup, in addition to power water sprinklers. The farm is completely cut off from the national power grid. As the sun sets, the workers busily harvest cabbages while an ox-driven plough prepares the ground for fresh plants.”

Q&A:

  • Who or what influences your art? How would you like your art to influence others?

I am enthused by spiritual dreams, focusing on beautiful landscapes and colorful abstractions. I am interested in both traditional and international political and social activities, such as the terrace technique in farming. My inspiration comes from Luis Merque, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, and Colin Carr.
